Republic Wireless isn’t really on their radar. They’ve been destroying the brand. Their pricing model indicates they’re not interested in serving non-Dish customers.
I would predict the they will get rid of the Republic Wireless brand and roll all the customers into “Dish Wireless” or Boost by the end of 2024.
Given the psychotic pricing of the revised RW, the only reason I’ve held on is my Ambassador line credit. If they continue to honor that, I’ll keep the line. If they drop the credit, I won’t so much drop them as spike them with sufficient force to lodge them in the planetary core.
Is it safe to presume by psychotic pricing you mean the non-DISH customer pricing? Few, if any, are paying that price.
All legacy RW members (those who were RW customers prior to May 10, 2022) are eligible for DISH customer pricing without the need to be DISH pay-TV customers.
Any prospective new RW customer must first provide their DISH pay-TV account information. Prospective new RW customers cannot sign up without DISH pay-TV credentials. Only a DISH pay-TV customer who chose to sign up for RW service then canceled their DISH pay-TV service without also canceling their RW service would be obliged to pay non-DISH customer pricing.
It’s possible to find more aggressive pricing in the market than that currently offered at RW by DISH but I wouldn’t go as far as to say the current DISH customer pricing (also available to legacy RW members) is psychotic.

I was looking to see what was going on when I found the old community site had been closed down. Then I found this site and post. Nice to see some of the old names I was familiar with are still hanging around.
I certainly hope that a Republic shutdown isn’t close at hand. After all of the troubles I had trying to migrate from my old 1.0 plan to 5.0 I’m really not ready to go through another round of, “Where do I go from here?” Hopefully Republic will be left on autopilot as my service has been working well after getting everything activated on 5.0.

Hi @old_engineer and welcome!
So long as RW service continues to suit one’s purposes, there is no need to fix that. Autopilot is a good description of the current situation at RW.
If, one day in the future, you find RW service no longer suits your purposes, many here have experience with other providers in addition to RW.
