Google Messages - Group Messages Sent Individually, Here's the fix

Depending on your phone, Google Messages may be set to set to “mass” texts, rather than “group” texts which means that messages to multiple people are sent out individually, rather than as a group. Here’s how to fix that.

  1. Open Google Messages and be sure you’re on the main screen with all your messages
  2. Click the three dots on the top right and then Settings
  3. Click Advanced
  4. Click Group Messaging
  5. Be sure “Send an MMS reply to all recipients (group MMS)” is selected

That’s all there is to it!

Thank you @louisdi for the helpful tip. I believe that with Android 12 and Android 13 instead of three dots on the top right one would see a circle with their Google account image. Clicking on that would open a menu with Messages settings.
