OK - so this is my wife’s phone’s migration update: I put in the BI SIM card in my wife’s phone, and did not do anything re: APN. And almost everything works well. I can send and receive voice calls and SMS and MMS messages. And the Mobile Network is listed as Boost Mobile. The only thing that is not working is that the Visual Voicemail page has disappeared. At the bottom of the Google Phone app screen, it shows FAVORITES, RECENTS and CONTACTS. But the voicemail screen has disappeared. When I migrated my phone (which has the same phone app), the visual voicemail screen was still there, but just wasn’t showing any voicemails. What do you think could be happening? I called her phone and left a voicemail and it seemed to have stored it somewhere, but I don’t know where, or how to access it.
I’ve yet to see an instance where visual voicemail in the Phone app works with DISH brands inclusive of both Boost Infinite and Boost Mobile. Well, it works on iPhone but not Android. The official solution is Boost’s Visual Voicemail app. There are alternatives, which we’ve already discussed elsewhere :
Thanks again for all the help. I really appreciate it.
And as of right now, my wife’s and my phones sort of do have visual vm using the google phone app. As long as Boost Infinite keeps sending texts telling us each time we have a new voicemail, we can call in and listen to it.
And is it safe that i listed on this forum the three things i found on my APN page? (along with wireless.dish.com) ? I am very ignorant concerning internet security and don’t want to post something that could be problematic.
