Is the FCC Getting Serious About Robocalls?

For the first time, the FCC has ordered a voice service provider’s traffic to be dropped. I suppose one down but there are so many to go.

It’ll be interesting how the FCC continues to proceed. I don’t think they’ll be able to keep up with all the robocalls. Though I don’t get that much spam calls, I have started an experiment to allow first time callers and some other types of calls to go through Google’s call screening feature before they talk to me. It’s also supposed to decline robocalls. To me, this is something that is more proactive in stopping robocalls and spam calls in general.

In the past 6ish months or so, I’ve seen a small uptick in spam texts, which might become bigger as time progresses, and there will need to be an effective way to combat that as well.
