Things are looking up. And by things, we mean your plan. Starting after your next refresh date on Jun 23, 2026, your plan will be upgraded from 5GB to 6GB per month, free of charge. It’s more (giga)byte for the same price which means more streaming, surfing, scrolling, gaming & more. So enjoy that big gig energy and all your other favorite Mint features.
The data’s out of the bag,
According to the web site, the new data blocks are 6/17/23/Unlimited.
In the entire time I’ve been with Mint, I’ve overrun my data plan exactly once, the day before they changed from 3GB to 4GB for the base plan.
With my typical usage, I will likely never overshoot again.
I did give Mint a try after leaving Republic Wireless, and was not impressed. Issues with getting WiFi calling and text working, also think they balked at agreeing my unlocked Pixel handset would work with their network. That was at least four years ago.
Mint offered low prices, but the best pricing requiring an extended time commitment to a plan didn’t appeal to me, and the unsatisfactory customer support turned me off. So switched to Tello and been quite satisfied for since.
The T-Mobile network has been good for me around my home area, and increasingly when wandering elsewhere in the USA. Would anyone suggest looking again at Mint?
{Although I haven’t found much excuse to take advantage of this feature, Tello also offers calling to MANY locations outside the USA included for no additional cost!}
I can’t speak to Mint (though I’ve read lots of folks that like them), but I’ve been very happy with T-Mobile’s $15/month Connect plan. It currently comes with 5GB of data (up from 3GB when I started), and it has simple pricing and payment without any kind of lock-in or commitment. I think the taxes come out to about $2.50/month for me.
