I’ve read about some alleged T-Mobile 5G\/4G LTE switching issues caused by misconfigured tower hardware or software, but there wasn’t any real explanation beyond that. I can’t even remember where I read it.

I read through some of those comments on delayed security updates on Google FI on the Reddit forum, and it was interesting.
I sideloaded the Jan 2023 update on my new 6a.
I tried a normal update first, and it only did one month and took a long time, so I downloaded the Jan 2023 OTA and sideloaded it. My spouse’s 4a/5g is stuck on December 2022 now. My 4a/5g went into EDL mode after sideloading the Jan 2023 update (hence the new 6a). I am not going to be doing any sideloading after reading that thread.
