Designer version of the Light Phone II (limited to 250 units):
There is a (niche) market for a more minimalist phone. Anecdotally, Republic’s former Expert Customers received a fair amount of inquiries about Light Phone compatibility. On the other hand, $300 for a minimalist phone seems a bit steep to me.
The specs on the Light Phone II don’t appear to make it a great one for North American use, but they did manage to sell their stock of 250 in less than 24 hours. My son likes Kendrick Lamar’s music, but all he’s getting is a lousy t-shirt.
