Your screenshot says “Possibly related to issues at Amazon Web Services”. It isn’t possibly, it’s a certainty. And; yes, it’s Boost that’s chosen to run its core in Amazon’s cloud.
As an aside, I had two packages from Amazon scheduled for delivery today. Both are now delayed and expected tomorrow due to “processing delays at an Amazon facility”, which I’m equally certain is a result of the AWS outage.
Perhaps, I should contact Amazon and complain but - wait - that’s not possible because all customer service avenues are down.
Of course, I do have the meaningless apology from the the trillion dollar corporation.
I had planned to reallocate some funds in my brokerage account, but alas, it was unreachable all day.
One of the two late arriving Amazon items is going back. It’s a $40 item. When I asked for compensation for the late delivery, I was offered $15 in Amazon credit. Ordinarily, I might have been OK with that but this time I insisted on a refund rather than credit. Not an option - I was told - so back it goes.
I then proceeded to order the same item from Walmart, where it’s on sale for $20. For a net cost of $25 I would have kept the Amazon item and avoided the small return hassle. For a net return of $20, I’ll make the short trip to Kohl’s for the return.
