I got my transitioning text at 4:42 pm ET today. Haven’t heard from daughter whether she’s gotten one yet as well. So now we wait.
I had checked my RW/DISH/BoostInfinite phone earlier in the day and had nothing, I checked just now because of the flurry of reports here and within a minute of powering up the phone I got the message given above. We’ll see what happens.
Nothing to me, my wife, or my son yet. I’ll report when/if one of us gets the message.
I just received the same message.
Things are happening.
REPUBLIC: We are transitioning your service to Boost Infinite. You will receive a Welcome to Infinite message when complete. Please restart your device after receiving that message to access your data. Questions? 833-558-5820
Way to make me feel paranoid, everyone.
Just got mine a few minutes ago also…
Just curious. Those of you who got a text…is your phone an iphone? Mine is pixel 6a. I was looking at their site earlier today and noticed that they have no pixel phones for sale. Mainly iphones. Anyway, just wondering if they are migrating iphones first.
Edit: Never mind, Just got mine. Immediately followed by that urgent message about updating my billing info. I don’t know what they want. I checked it twice and even called them last Sunday to check on it. He supposedly fixed whatever the problem was. It’s the same info. I have used since 2014 and I just updated it with Republic when I got a new card a month ago and have been charged since.
Just got my text. Wife and son haven’t yet. I have a Moto g(7) Power, fwiw. Wife has a Google Pixel, son also has a Moto.
Moto G Power 2022 - Android
Son now got the message. (Moto G 5g)
Pixel-using wife still waiting…
UPDATE: All three of us have received the text now.
Sign up just to said I got the transitioning text a few min ago. Moto 5G
I have a Samsung Galaxy S21 FE.
Might as well join the crowd and report that we got the transitioning message on both Samsung A32 5G phones. Both phones are on the 5.0 plan.
Just waiting for the confirmation message and then…big drum roll please…we’ll do the reboot
In case it helps with understanding, none of these facts matter.
Republic isn’t asking you to update your info on the Republic account. They are asking you to add billing info to the Boost Infinite account, because they can’t move your billing info from Republic to Boost Infinite. You could enter the same thing or an entirely different payment method, it wouldn’t matter. All that matters is that Boost Infinite has a way to bill you for service.
I say this because something about the way you keep repeating that it’s the same info that’s already on the account makes me wonder if you’ve updated it in the Republic account instead of the Boost Infinite account.
I’m also concerned that you seem to be the only one here who got that “urgent” reminder. This time it would appear Republic has filtered out the people whose billing info has been added to the Boost Infinite account.
Did you go to Republic Wireless Customer Login | Boost Infinite and sign in with your phone number and the secret number they sent by email?
No, I received the email a couple weeks ago and followed the instructions for 5.0. When I went to the link and entered my phone number I saw that my CC info. was there and reentered it because there was a Message at the top of my screen that said something to the effect that it could not be processed. A few days later I rechecked and the error message was still there. I called customer service about something else but asked them about it and he checked it and saw some error. Asked for the last four CC number and supposedly okay. So I’m confused as to why I got another message stating Urgent check your billing info. And no, there was another guy on here that said he received the same message. You told him to not worry because it is supposed to be a seamless process. I told him he should call about it. So, you see I don’t know what else I am supposed to do. I guess I will call them again and see if I can get in.
Update: I checked again and just added it again. this time it took. finally.
Yes, that was round two of the “urgent” text. You’ve apparently gotten round three, though, as you said it came after the new text everyone is getting tonight, and I don’t see others chiming in saying they got round three of the “urgent” text. That’s why it seems different this time.
That’s wonderful news!
Just curious. We got the transitioning message over 2 hours ago. Have not received the confirmation message, so of course we have not rebooted the phones. Yes, we know some things take time. Has anyone else completed the transition and received the confirmation message? If so, how long did it take?
I suspect the verb tense did not mean “in this very moment”, but rather, “in the coming days”. I wouldn’t wait up.
You can probably guess that patience is not one of my strong suits But I do plan to get a good nights sleep at a Holiday Inn Express!
